An easy way to teach preschool-aged kids about God’s love while allowing them to express themselves creatively is through making “God Is Love” posters for a preschool art project. Making the Posters

The first idea for making a “God is Love” poster for preschool art project is by finding some pictures of different families, children and friends. The idea is to show that God created the idea of the family, gave us friends and to explain how He loves us all. The pictures should surround the poster and in the middle teachers can either put in a relevant Bible verse or simply “God is Love” in the middle.

Supplies Needed:

• 1 Large poster board
• 1 Large bottle of glue or several glue sticks
• Several pictures either cut out of magazines or printed off the computer
• Some markers to write out the words as well as a Bible verse

To make this poster, teachers can have students participate by giving them each a glue stick and having them glue one of the pictures onto the poster. If the students are very young, teachers can easily sit with them and help them. Next, teachers should write out the phrase in the middle of the poster, and if they have picked out a Bible verse, write that in as well. Students may add extra decorations or draw hearts on their posters once they are completed if the teacher allows it.

Put Their Faces on a Poster

The next idea for making a God-themed poster actually involves putting pictures of each of the students as well as the teachers on the poster. The idea behind this poster is to show each preschool age child that God made him or her in His likeness and that He loves them just the way they are.

Supplies Needed

• 1 Poster extra large poster board
• 1 Small picture of each student and teacher to put on the poster
• Enough glue sticks for each student to have one to be able to put their picture on the poster
• 1 Cut out heart either printed off the computer or made from construction paper to put behind each picture of each student
• Markers to write on the poster

Each student should be given a glue stick with their picture and a red heart cut out. Teachers should help each student glue their picture onto the heart and then the hearts will be arranged on the poster to surround the “God Is Love” message in the middle. Some fun extras to add to this poster include letting students decorate with glitter sticks or by coloring small pictures in the extra spaces on the poster.

Displays

These posters are both very easy to make and do not require a lot of work or cause a huge mess. Once the posters are completed they can then be hung up in the classroom or hallways to remind everyone else of this sage message from scripture.
